UFC 130 is expected to feature Quinton "Rampage" Jackson vs. Matt Hamill, and with his contract issues resolved, Roy Nelson is expected to meet ex-heavyweight champ Frank Mir. A rubber match between UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar and contender Gray Maynard was slated to headline the card before both men were forced to withdraw due to injury in May.

Also on the card is a heavyweight match between Stefan Struve and Travis Browne as well as a middleweight tilt between Brian Stann and former Sengoku middleweight champion Jorge Santiago.
